Winter dawn
winter dawn ~
through the drizzle
leaves breathing
fresh,
my breath too. . .
If the leaves breathe fresh....I too can. And sometimes
this breath is all that matters. Caught in our own different priorities, we need reminders
sometimes...
The tree just knows. . .

Darn!
Darn!
this dragonfly
lifting her wings
to veil herself ~
so fragile is nature
If I'm right, this is the Darner
dragonfly....I wanted a closeup, with its wings spread-out clearly showing the
pattern. It was resting so, but the closer I went...it took this veiled
posture....Darn!
Because it veiled itself, I'm guessing
it's a female Darner.
Dragonfly
You hail from Dream-land, Dragonfly?
A stranger hither? So am I,
And (sooth to say) I wonder why
We either of us came!
~ Agnes M.F.R. Darmesteter "To a
Dragonfly"

Beautiful Clarity
When the world overpowers and overbears,
I turn to Nature and its beautiful clarity
. . . and the mind is refreshed.

Rainy Midsummer
The habit of writing poems once started with looking at these skies. However,
as years pass writing a poem seems an avoidable task-wherever you look
there's a poem already written ~

the storm that was. . .
May - the time when cuckoos return with their songs. One of them was probably nesting in one of these trees, or may be it just loves the amaltas, and perches on there and sings...
After the storm yesterday, the bird, the song...is all gone.
Birds ~ such masters in impermanence. . . .

Life, dance on the edges of Time
'Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time like dew on the tip of a leaf.' ~ Rabindranath Tagore

winter wind ~
It starts off as a short story, often ends in three lines. That's the story these days. Wind brings with it the story....goes away with the will to write ~
Haiku is possibly a potent seed that needs to be nurtured into a story ~
