fresh black grapes ~

how broken is a heart

taken to dreaming?

spring blossoms ~

so brief 

the surge of happiness

so inviting the wilderness 

for  the inexperienced heart!

Yes, influenced by Basho's 'The Narrow Road to the Deep North' or 'The Narrow Road to the Interior' – not just about self discovery, but in search of the 'soul' /the 'self' of haiku, the soul of poetry. There definitely must be something like that - that which is separate from the poet/writer. Could be that I am at the very start of it...feel so.

Mountain (IV)

mountain sunset

even the wind’s,

a sad tale~

only the birds,

mountain shadows~

their stories

echo in the wind
