A NOTE

Hi!

Since yesterday I have been reading and trying to comment at blogs…I have not been able to do at some of my regular reads, while at some others I could do without a hitch. I am not sure why; but thinking of it, I wouldn’t like to continue so- commenting at some and not doing at others.

So, until the time I am able comment at every blog that I read, I will not be commenting at any place. I shall continue to read and appreciate your works regularly.
Hope you understand.

Happy Blogging and if, I could say, please do promote fellow bloggers,
They are possibly here with dreams….Help them realise theirs, as you realise yours!

best wishes,
devika

The Sun

the sun ascends,
through the clouds, softly,
hiding four seasons in his heart
a shower of cherry blossoms
over my closed eyelids
***********

PS: Listening to music, mostly instrument music, at sunrise—nothing refreshing as it for me …And I was listening to ‘cherry blossom storm’….
running it again and again…

And this love for cherry blossoms is a long back affair.....since my school days, and then renewed each time I read Anton Chekov's 'The Cherry Orchard.'

By the same pond

by the same pond
watching the ripples, and reflections,
after years – echoes of voices
from the past undone,
rebounding....

Piercing

piercing silence --
when did the sprightly waves of the dark sea
echo your laughter last?

Minnows

A quite evening…a walk by the brook bordering the paddy fields….the whole landscape seemed silently absorbing the last rays of the sun…. an air of melancholy, when a sudden commotion in the water:

minnows in the brook
trampling one over the other
to steal the last light

Her bow

her bow,
sliding through the violin strings,
scratch the silent depths
of my heart- layers of hidden pain
that none can see

*********
PS: written last night. last night was unusually sad, as it was inspired…..
Violin, which I think most effectively conveys sadness, is my lookout then….and chanced upon this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKrMaxrUxAs&feature=related and some more….

Now, this ‘layers of hidden pain’ may even sound funny to some of my friends here...Yes, I’ve had my biggest share long back and every day presents new pains, as much as joy…so much used to it, that’s perhaps why I smile/laugh at it all now :)

Out of the

out of the sunset skies
the dazzling glow of an
oriole’s plumage
