April begins ~

April begins ~
in the wind
the long-forgotten
scent of
summer vacations

Those who read me here: Am in for a vacation in April....see you after, if not any time before.

noon sun

how it smiles back,
this little shamrock

Charles Dickens - I

"It [is] one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade." ~ Charles Dickens

"see, how it bloomed" ~

see, how it bloomed
here, this spring
the mountain iris

This Iris has a story...a gift from Gangotri (where River Ganga originates), and supposed to be growing and blooming only in deep cold...but the mountain's gift has bloomed in his garden in this city, this spring... the gleam in the eyes of the gardener, a friend, as he said..."see, how it bloomed" ...

buzzing

buzzing with life
the lemon tree ~
flitting past,
a butterfly lifts

itself to the sky

flashing

flashing in her
eyes, memories
of a fateful day
yet, her smile
radiant with hope

*from a short story...in process

another spring

another spring

and the Buddha belly ~
the face of the god I wished to see,
marred by the thoughts
of those gone

The road

These days, the conversations always bordering between things known and things unknown….

between things known
and of things unknown,
the road turns again...
buoyant flowers
wave in the wind
